The Sales Executive is part of a team who are selling branded entertainment spots on the MPICS Eye Media network to clients, advertising agencies, media agencies, and all decision makers who impact national media buys.
This individual will play an active role in the entire selling process; strategically targeting clients, identifying all decision makers and influencers, managing an action plan against decision makers and influencers, setting the meetings, making the presentation,
negotiating the deals, managing the execution and follow-up, and setting up the renewal and business expansion.
This person will be expected to produce and execute deals in the six figures plus deal range against national advertising clients.
This position reports to the Media Sales Director.
RESPONSIBLITIES:
Produce significant sales results in a team environment against national clients.
Target key advertisers and decision makers at the client level and within ad agencies, media agencies, and buying services.
Sell and negotiate comfortably at the CMO and brand manager level of national brands and advertisers.
Network, build, and maintain relationships at planner and buyer levels of agencies.
Maintain high-quality and deep on-going relationships with clients and agency Executives.
Make the commitment of time and effort necessary for a start-up to be successful.
Work closely with others on the sales staff to make sure the corporate goals for sales are being met and exceeded.
Work closely with the MPICS Eye creative and marketing teams to ensure smart and effective selling and execution.
Work closely with MPICS Eye’s Consumer Researcher to understand how MPICS Eye can meet the clients advertising needs.
EXPERIENCES:
Experience effectively selling national media in a complex “emerging” media environment.
Experience producing results with deals driven at the client level with brand decision makers, or director of advertising level.
Experience and relationships with advertising and/or media planning and buying agencies for national clients.
Experience working with consumer clients, developing and implementing effective media plans across TV, Interactive, and out-of-home media.
Extensive national and local broadcast experience.
Exceptional client service skills working with senior-level marketing executives.
Prior experience working closely with internal and external research to draw relevant insight on campaign effectiveness and performance.
QUALIFICATIONS:
2 -4 years of media or entertainment selling to clients and agencies.
Experience with traditional and emerging media.
Senior-level negotiation and client management skills.
Strong written and presentation skills.
Strategic thinker with quantitative skills and a creative mindset.
Ability to travel frequently.
EDUCATION: BS/BA Degree preferably in Marketing, Advertising, or Communications, but not essential.
